'66 Chevy II I built from the ground up when I was just 14.

This is how my '66 Chevy Nova LOOKED when my dad gave it to me to work on when I was 14. I would push it in his garage on weekends and put it together. Spent a lot of time in junk yards looking for parts, as their was no re-manufactured parts back in 1978. Below pics is how car came out when I finished Deuce:

When I was 14, my Dad gave me a '66 Chevy II Nova. It was completely stripped down-- in other words, the car had no front end or motor, no seats, no interior, no steering wheel, no trunk lid, no rear window-- and was sitting on the brake drums!! It was a shell of a car... I believe my Dad gave it to me as a tinker project, never thinking I would finish this car. BUT, by the time I was 16, we built a Chevy 400 small block motor which was completely stock with a Eldebrock Intake Manifold and vacuum-secondary 600 Holley Carburetor, and ram-horn exhaust coming off of heads, and dual exhaust with magna flow mufflers. I had Cragar Classic SS 3.5'' skinnies on the front with 7" Cragars on the back, housing a 12-bolt posi-traction with a 3:55 gear in it. I drag raced it all the time (some on street), and my best E.T. at the track was 14.07, 100 MPH. I had it painted a Honderous-Maroon (Candy Apple Red Color) from a '75 Chevy Monte-Carlo. When I came home to live with my Dad & Mom so they could take care of me after my 4 month coma and rehab., my Dad sold my Nova...
